Your kiddo’s Kindle is about to get even better. Not only is it the first dedicating reading device built specifically for children, but now (thanks to a new update from Amazon) the Kindle Kids Edition gives your family access to more than 1,000 Audible books.

When Amazon unveiled the Kindle Kids Edition last fall the device gave children the chance to read thousands of books, minus the over-weighted backpack to carry them around in. Now the device will make it possible to listen to stories galore, with an equally impressive Audible library.

Kurt Beidler, Director of Kids and Family, Amazon said in a press release last October, “With unlimited access to over a thousand new and popular books in FreeTime Unlimited, kids can easily find books to match their interests and can bring a library of books with them wherever they go—all on a single, lightweight device.”

Even though the Kindle Kids Edition comes with a retail price tag of $109, you can score the top tech device for $85 right now on Amazon. Along with the updated Audible access, this Kindle also comes with one year of FreeTime Unlimited, a two-year worry-free guarantee and your choice of one of four cool kid-friendly covers.
