Give meditation a try by committing to just 5 minutes a day for a week. Here’s how:

Proponents of meditation say that a regular practice can increase energy, improve the immune system and decrease anxiety. All important things when you’re a parent!
Set aside that time for yourself first thing in the morning or before you go to bed at night.
Close your eyes and focus on your breath. When you catch your mind drifting, just bring it back to your breathing.

You might find that repeating a single word can help keep you focused. We like slowly saying “whoosh” with each exhale.
