How and why to teach rhyming words

Studies show that rhyming ability can be predictive of later reading achievement.
While tinybeans may not learn to rhyme on their own until age 4, you can help lay the groundwork now by including a daily dose of rhyme.

Try using rhyming songs to transition between activities. Here’s one to get you started:

Clean up, clean up, it’s time to put the toys away
Clean up, clean up, we’re all done today
Clean up, clean up, it’s time to put the toys away
Clean up, clean up, we’ll play with them another day!
