Around six months of age, it’s common for tinybeans to begin to notice that coughing gets special attention from the grown-ups.
So what’s a baby to do? Start fake coughing, of course. ☺
There’s no single ‘right’ way to handle this bit of acting on your baby’s part; but we like to reward this pre-verbal attempt at communication by smiling and fake coughing right back.
These early games encourage baby to tune into social cues and explore their own noises.
