Put the board books down

Countless research has shown the tremendous cognitive benefits that come when you read frequently with your baby. And the same can be said of babies who have a lot of face-to-face communication time.
But that doesn’t mean you have to spend all your time reading children’s books and narrating your daily activities. Instead, try entertaining the both of you by reading some adult material… out loud.

Cozy up with your baby and a good novel, your favorite survivalist manual or a trashy magazine.

Baby will love being close and listening to you talk, while you’ll love reading about the unlikely romance between the girl next door and her supernatural suitor. You know, if you’re into that sort of thing. ☺
