Where To Stay
During the Summer months, Callaway offers their Summer Family Adventure package for four to seven night stays in one of their neighborhood-style cottages (complete with full kitchen/dining area). Kids (ages 3-17) enjoy a variety of day camp activities lead by members of  Florida State University’s High Flying Circus (who also perform regular shows under the beachside big top). Late afternoon beach parties, bingo and trivia games and educational outings ensure everyone is entertained.

What To Do
Beyond their seasonal special programming, there is an endless array of things to do at the resort. The littles will love the Day Butterfly Center where over 1,000 butterflies flutter freely, or the Birds of Prey show’s raptors will enrapture them. Robin Lake Beach offers a variety of water sports and activities ranging from boardwalk basics like table tennis, mini golf and shuffleboard to tot-tastic train or “blaster” boat rides.

In-air obstacle course TreeTop Adventure’s new Sapling course (for tots 36-60” tall) means that even the small fries can get in on the high-flying fun. If you are still searching for something to do, check out their ten-mile Discovery Bike Trail perfect for peewee peddlers. For a really wild time, check out the drive-through animal park Wild Animal Safari just outside the resort in Pine Mountain.

Where To Eat
The resort offers a variety of restaurants on site. Cooking at the cottage or Rockin’ Robbins Malt Shop and Pizzaria are always a sure bet for the smaller set. Or, venture outside the gates to Pine Mountain for Aspen’s Mountain Grill (5700 Hwy. 354, 706-663-2001), or Hunter’s Pub and Steakhouse in Hamilton (11269 Georgia 219, 706-628-5992) for the best fried lobster tails, steak and peanut butter pie this side of the Mississippi.

When To Go
If you can’t make it this summer during their Summer Family Adventure (through July 26th), there are other happenings throughout the year. Don’t miss the Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival Labor Day weekend, their swanky Steeplechase in November or their Star Spangled Beach Party July 4th. Their holiday Fantasy in Lights show is more than worth the trip.
