You know the old saying—If you want to get something important done right, ask a busy mom to do it. Well, we believe it, and we’ve rounded up 11 Atlanta moms to prove it. From work-life balance to favorite things to do in Atlanta, we guarantee you’ll pick up a few new tricks by reading about our 2016 Power Moms. Buckle your seat belts. You’re about to be inspired!

Carolyn Patterson, Founder of Atlanta Moms Making A Difference

Mom to three—Belle (8), George (5), and Mary Claire (2)—Carolyn saw a need for family volunteer opportunities in Atlanta, and founded Atlanta Moms Making a Difference. And what a difference she and her volunteer organization have made, by collecting 7883 books for Bolton Academy, packing 340 Love Bags for Helping Mamas, decorating 200 bags for Foster Cares, and hosting 19 birthday parties at my Sister’s House for moms and kids battling homelessness. And that’s since 2015. When she’s not volunteering with her kids, you might find them playing outside, swimming, and reading books.

Proud Moment: “I’m very proud that my husband and three children have joined me in sharing my passion for making a difference.”

Words of Wisdom: Teach your children the importance of giving back to their community, and everyone wins.
