Get Noisy

Who needs music class when you've got a playgroup of baby friends? With your invite, ask everyone to bring their favorite music toys. Create a playlist of favorite sing-along jams. Think Itsy Bitsy Spider, Down by the Bay, Wheels on the Bus and your favorite Laurie Berkner tune. During the playdate, have everyone sit in a circle and the moms can sing along while the babies shake shakers or do the motions that go along with the songs. For added fun for older babies, add in a make your own shaker craft. Ask every mom to bring an old, empty spice jar. Then, you provide a bag of rice, dried beans or small pasta to fill them up. Have the babies help fill the shakers and add stickers, depending on their age.
