Uber Eats Is Here to Save the Day Gear 14 of Trader Joe’s Best Appetizers for the Holidays If you’re a born multitasker, you’re probably a champion diaper changer: Hold your baby still with one hand, reach for wipes with the other, scan your changing table for butt paste with your right eyeball and smile at your little stinker with your left. When she wanted to free up one of those hands, suburban Chicago dentist, medical researcher and mom of two under two Dana Fort invented the PooPoose — a changing pad that just might change your life. The PooPoose is contoured with more steeply angled sides than a standard changing pad, meaning there’s less chance your baby can manage a side roll. The key element is a fuzzy, adjustable, swaddle-like strap that fastens around your baby’s tummy to keep him calm and immobilized during changes. It’s detachable and washable, and also comes in handy during nail-clipping sessions. Fort was inspired by the challenge of diapering her particularly squirmy six-month-old daughter, and she designed the PooPoose based on the shape of the medical papoose boards used in dentists’ and doctors’ offices to safely restrain children. Fort’s husband Brian also helped launch the product; he’s an emergency room physician who says too many infants end up in his care after falling from furniture like changing tables. The PooPoose fits infants to toddler. If you think it will help you with diaper duty, buy it online for $59.99. What do you think of this new invention?
