Reindeer flights to the North Pole are hard to finagle this time of year — they’re busy, ya know? But several Chicago-area streets are outfitted with enough twinkly lights and decorations to make you feel like you’re on a merry Arctic getaway. They’re dubbed “Candy Cane Lanes” and you’ll understand why at first glance. Click through our gallery to discover the spots in the city and ‘burbs that will get you in the holiday spirit.

Logan Square – Chicago

In the city, it doesn’t get any more lustrous than an otherwise nondescript corner in Logan Square. Here, one large house single-handedly takes the reins on the neighborhood’s merriment, utterly immersing the entire grounds in lights, animatronic characters, and enough decorations to make Santa jealous. BYO hot cocoa, BYO awe. Located at 2656 W. Logan Blvd., at the corner of Washnetaw Avenue.
