For Soft, Safe Play: Chicago Children’s Museum

The destination for experiential learning combined with serious fun, Chicago Children’s Museum has something for even the tiniest of family members. While many exhibits have special play spaces for babies, the Pritzker Playspace is especially designed for infants and crawlers. The soft rugs in this space set the scene comfortably. For toddlers, there are wooden blocks, a kid-sized washing machine and a sure-to-please light table. If baby gets hungry, there’s even a bottle warmer (and plenty of nursing stations in the museum). Check hours ahead of time for the Open Playgroup. And, bring socks; no shoes allowed.

While you’re there, check out the new temporary Once Upon a Castle exhibit.
