Amazingly imaginative, this hidden-gem play space was created with the help of a children's museum designer. It's smaller and narrower than most in town. But the intimacy is charming, and what it lacks in space it makes up for in wow-worthy features, like a tree house structure equipped with a telescope and "wind tubes" that blow soft balls and scarves through a mesmerizing maze. 3927 N.
