Teigen, who was diagnosed with PPD in 2017, has been very open about her post-pregnancy struggles. Here’s how Teigen figured out something was majorly wrong after the birth of her daughter, Luna. While working on her second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More, Teigen began to realize something was wrong. It was more than that she just wasn’t feeling like herself. Teigen told PEOPLE, “I started looking at food and was like, ‘I’m just not in the mood’. It’s like going to the grocery store when you’re full. You just don’t want the same things. Food wasn’t thrilling for me.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen) Teigen admits, “That was one of the first times I knew something was wrong.” Instead of enjoying the work of creating her second cookbook, Teigen admits that she began dreading it instead. “When I wasn’t feeling great, being in the kitchen was like torture.” After seeking professional help, Teigen was later prescribed an anti-depressant. Following her second pregnancy with son Miles, she credits eating her placenta as one of the main ways she kept her PPD at bay.
