I am Gaurika, founder of Young Gates. We are located in Bay Area, California.
Firstly, let me share my qualification – I have my Masters in Computer Science, HR certified from the University of Washington and Entrepreneurship certified from Stanford School.I have nearly 10 years of experience working in the IT industry for companies like IBM, Vayama, Richrelevance, etc. My passion for teaching made me volunteer at libraries and at my kid’s school.

This passion led to the creation of Young Gates as i started getting calls and requests to teach their kids on various coding topics. I had been teaching Scratch, Python, Java, Data Science for nearly 4 years and now we are a group of teachers working together providing a variety of programs to our students based on their age and interest. Super dynamic, very flexible schedule, Spanish immersion classes. I never felt my classes were in my best interest getting me fluent, so we did 15 years of research (actually testing and trying things out with our clients) and came up with the most effective way to get kids fluent – just like they learned their first language! So our classes focus on mini conversations, tons of photos, a lot of games, and the most important part: questions and answers. That is what we use all day – questions and answers. So that’s what we focus on in class. This ensure the kids understand a question and can respond to it confidently. Then, we use stories, videos and songs (depending on the age) to learn longer phrases and in context vocabulary. Classes are 9am to 9pm every day all year round, with a new theme / conversation every month. Ages 4 – 17 classes available for beginners, intermediate dual language and even native speakers.

What if your child could look back on the pandemic and say,“That’s when I wrote my first book.”

Written Out Loud has transformed over 300 kids into joyful co-authors of published books. We do it by revealing the age-old storytelling tools and techniques buried inside their favorite books, movies and shows, like Harry Potter, Hamilton, The Hunger Games, and more. Pioneered at Yale University and taught by Hollywood and publishing pros, our program gets kids to fall in love with writing!

Your child meets once a week on Zoom. Inspired by stories they already love, your child will become jet-fueled with self-confidence – writing from a place of passion instead of obligation. Best of all, your child will be grouped with kids that are just like them – kids who love the same kinds of books and movies they love. The core objective of our program is to grow creative kindred spirits. Group storytelling creates friendships and habits kids can form and carry with them for the rest of their lives. Your child will finish a book in our program – and they’ll love it every step of the way!

Our next session starts January4th. Save your spot!
