Raindrops Nature School is an educational program that cultivates future leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs. We aim to reframe the way society looks at play, our connection to nature and collaboration. We place value on integrating pedagogies like Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio and Forest, to develop a curriculum that is specific to your child’s style of learning. We believe that learning programs should be malleable and interconnected in order to meet the Whole Child.  We want to empower children to think resourcefully, to engage their divergent thinking, to seek and solve problems, and to build on all of their natural capabilities. Our classes offer children opportunities to engage in multisensory activities, embark on personal and group projects birthed in play, use open ended materials that engage imagination, and encourage and support children to reach outside their comfort zones. Research* shows that children who have uninhibited time to play with open-ended materials in multisensory environments develop their executive function skills, their divergent thinking and build the confidence and the willingness to take cognitive, social and emotional risks. We offer classes for Toddlers and Families as well as a Pre-School program meant to not only prepare your child for Kindergarten but for life.

SANCA is recognized nationally as a leader in youth circus arts education, safety, and instructor training. The school is located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, an area with limited access to arts and cultural opportunities, especially for children. Founded in 2004 with five students, almost  1,000 students take classes at SANCA every week. Annually, SANCA serves more than 30,000 people with classes and camps, in-school and after-school outreach programs, and public performances.

SANCA offers experiences that are physically challenging, socially enriching, and teach physical literacy to people of all ages. SANCA’s services to the community include recreational classes and day camps to provide youth with a safe, social, constructive environment for physical arts. Our programs broaden community engagement, reach diverse audiences, and encourage participation in the arts. SANCA’s programs for youth reach those with the least access and opportunity to participate in healthy, creative, physical activities.

Our Mission

SANCA’s mission is to improve the mental, emotional, and physical health of children of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities by engaging them in the joyous creativity of acrobatics and circus arts.

Since 1995, Blue Ribbon Cooking has been at the forefront of the Seattle food and entertaining scene, changing with the times, the trends and the needs of our clientele. Over the years our motive has been to bring the family back to the dining room table to enjoy homemade meals together. We’ve not only accomplished our objective with the vast variety of hands-on cooking classes for kids and adults and events that we host but we have also expanded upon it. After many requests we began a catering segment of our business that specializes in elegant catered events. We have become known for our bountiful family-style catering that is regularly shared at events throughout the Puget Sound area.

Though we’ve grown to encompass all things culinary, even our more contemporary offerings such as virtual cooking parties, prepared meal delivery kits, kids afternoon cooking classes, camps, and corporate team building are ingrained with our desire to bring folks around the table to break bread together. All of our events are wrapped with the warmth and care of our personable staff, bookmarked with the indulgence of abundant food shared with friends around the table, and delightfully enjoyed as a fun and entertaining experience.

Artree is a small preschool in Sammamish. For over 4 years I have been sharing my passion for art, science and play-based learning to the kids. Then 2020 came and everything changed.

I closed their doors like many others but started providing free online lessons twice a week for my families. This way the kids were able to keep at least some of their routine (and their parents enjoyed enjoy a little break). Because of the overwhelmingly positive feedback and because nobody knows what the fall brings, I decided to develop even more hands-on, creative and age-appropriate program for the kids.

I shifted to an online program, where kids do more than passively watching screens… My kids now make art and learn about famous artists, they sing songs, dance and do yoga. They read books and analyze them. They learn to use glue guns, mix colors and sew. They explore and investigate even after the screen turns off… just like they used to. They still belong to a small community and spend the whole year together. They have monthly interactive parties, send each other cards and get a yearbook.

I have done my best to rise up to the 2020 challenge. Hope it’s enough.

Drama Kids is an international children’s enrichment program that started in Australia with the actress Helen O’Grady in the 1980s. Drama Kids promises to give students the life skills necessary to realize their potential and be happy and successful in their chosen life path. Every week in class we are sure to encourage their growth through positive feedback.

We usually offer our program in after-school settings and community centers, but we pivoted to delivering the curriculum online for COVID-19 crisis. The purpose of our program is for participants to develop speaking skills, acting skills, creative thinking, confidence and self-esteem. Our remarkable curriculum during the school year is so vast that a kid could start in KinderKids and go through lower and upper primary, and even through Acting academy – from kindergarten to senior year – and never repeat the same lesson twice! Our classes move quickly through various fun drama activities like speech, theater games, movement, group improvisation and scene work. We also offer break camps, workshops and birthday parties.
