The First Female “Doctor Who” Gets Her Own “Little Miss” Book

Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker has already made history by becoming the first female Doctor—and now she’s breaking even more ground by inspiring the new Dr. Thirteenth Little Miss Book. Until now, only 12 men have played the role of the regenerating Doctor, but for the first time a woman will take over the titular role.

As with every new Doctor, they’ve each gotten their own Mr. Man book—that adorable, classic series we all grew up with originated by series author Roger Hargreaves. Of course, a whole new look for the Doctor means a whole new look for the previously Mr. Man-only series of Doctor Who-inspired books.

You can pre-order the limited-edition hardcover on Amazon now for $16.99 and get it when it’s released on Nov. 6. The paperback version, which costs $5.99, will be published in January 2019.

And of course, your little sci-fi fan won’t want to miss Whittaker’s historic debut as the first female Doctor when Doctor Who returns on Oct. 7 on BBC America.
