Here’s How to Get One from Krispy Kreme With three Golden Globe Awards, 15 Primetime Emmys, and 69 Emmy nominations, Americans just can’t get enough of Britain’s Crawley family. And if you’re all about the TV show, then the Downton Abbey movie trailer, which just dropped, is a can’t-miss! Like the small screen version, the new feature film is also called, drumroll please…Downton Abbey. Hmm. That makes things easy (and did you really expect anything else?). The story of the Crawley family, which has aired in the United States on PBS Masterpiece for the past six seasons, is a well-loved—and well-watched—tale of family drama set against the gorgeous English manor house of Downton Abbey. When PBS aired the show’s final season back in 2016, rumors of a jump to the big screen began swirling. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Gareth Neame said, “We felt we were quitting while we were ahead…We wanted to go while people still wanted more.” The would-be rumors turned into reality last July, with the official movie announcement. The film began shooting in September and recently wrapped production. While we’re loving this first look at Downton Abbey‘s big screen debut, we definitely can’t wait to see more of what’s in store with a full trailer. We need some Maggie Smith Dowager Countess like whoa! So when can you catch Downton Abbey in a theater near you? According to the first teaser trailer, the epic event is set for 2019—with promises of a longer trailer coming soon, too. —Erica Loop Featured Photo: Focus Features via YouTube RELATED STORIES: Pixar Reveals Its Next Animated Film” “Onward” & Here’s What We Know So Far Netflix’s First Look at New Carmen Sandiego Cartoon Is Here & WOW Another LEGO Movie Is Happening & Fans Are Psyched
