Who knew just one street could provide so much family fun? Well, we did, actually. And now we invite you to explore the joys of Wallingford’s 45th St. Start with some shopping at Wallingford Center, a collection of boutiques including Bad Woman Yarn and Pharmaca, where you’ll also find Trophy Cupcakes and Lil’ Klippers. For more shopping, head to Kids on 45th for consignment finds, take a vacation without leaving home at Hawaii General Store and Gallery, stop by Not a Number Cards and Gifts to check out the novelties, Fast Girl Skates for new wheels and gear, Comics Dungeon (we heard they recently made it more family-friendly by clearing out the adult section), Then, perhaps some lunch? Try one of the street’s many ethnic restaurants, trek down a ways to the original location of Dick’s Drive-In, or scope a date night locale at Smash Wine Bar & Bistro. After lunch, it’s time for yummy artisan ice cream at Molly Moon’s. Then, catch a flick at the Guild 45th Theatre. That’s a day well-spent.
