While Fillmore Street itself may be a little light in kid-allure, it’s surrounded by some key kid venues, such as Alta Plaza Park. Arguably the park with the best view of the city, Alta Plaza sits at the peak of Pacific Heights (between Jackson and Clay streets on Scott Street) with its extremely well-adorned playground featuring views all the way to Bernal Heights. Make sure to check out the cleanest park bathroom ever, stationed next to the playground.

For rainy day goodness, visit Congregation Sherith Israel on California Street and drop in on one of their playgroups for $10 a pop (worth every penny). For some aprés activity dining, fight for a table at the Grove on Fillmore for some health-conscious noshing. And if they eat all their veggies, visit Tango Gelato across the street for something a little less health-conscious.
