Psychologists Say It May Make You Happier Explore Marin Organic and U-Pick Bring those mini-city-slickers up to Marin this weekend to get in on the season’s “u-pick” bounty. Marin Organic, an association of the county’s organic farmers, organizes farm tours nearly every weekend, and this time of year there’s always something to see, taste, or pick. Recent visits have included Draper Farms (home to some amazing honeybees) and AllStar Organics. This weekend, families can visit the happy barnyard animals at Clark Summit Farms (guinea hens, pigs, chickens, goats, and more), or pick apples at Chileno Valley Ranch (it’s free, you only pay for the apples you pick!). Check out their website to see which farms have tours open for the weekend you’d like to attend. www.marinorganic.com More to Explore (with kiddies in tow): Solano Ave, Part 1 Solano Ave, Part 2 Hyde Street Pier and Aquatic Park the Presidio and Crissy Field Farmer’s Market & China Camp State Park Marin Organic, U-Pick Elmwood Presidio Heights Lakeshore Larkspur’s Magnolia Street Mt Tam and the West Point Inn San Francisco’s Bernal Heights Berkeley’s Fourth Street
