THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is coming to Southern California for the first time! The magical story comes to life as families board a one-hour journey to the North Pole to meet Santa. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, a cast of professional actors lead fantastic onboard entertainment reenacting scenes from the film. Car hosts punch golden tickets, dancing chefs serve each passenger hot chocolate and a delicious cookie, and passengers read along with the classic children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Upon reaching the North Pole, Santa boards the train to greet passengers, and each guest is given the first gift of Christmas—a keepsake sleigh bell. Just like the kids in the book, families are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the ride!
Departures begin Nov. 30 and continue select dates through Dec. 29 at the Southern California Railway Museum.
Famed children’s author of The Polar Express, Chris Van Allsburg will take part in a special book signing on Dec. 5th to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of THE POLAR EXPRESS film!
