Your kids will be engrossed as they explore science with new challenges and hands-on activities in our Science Clubs. There’s a different topic every month where your kids can explore an array of fields, including biology, engineering, environmental science, robotics and much more.

There’s something for kids of all ages! The Junior Science Club is for kids in grades 1-4, our Weekend Science Club is for students in grades 5-8 and we have a special Science Club just for girls in grades 5-8.

JCC’s Club J is a high quality, inclusive, post-school program that cultivates a welcoming and respectful environment for all. Our specialty enrichment classes prioritize stealth learning, safe socialization, building self-esteem, and above all, FUN!

Families choose up to two enrichment classes for their child(ren) to attend per day, M-Th. Shabbat activities are provided on Fridays.

Get ready for a one-of-kind adventure on America’s Living Symbol of Freedom. The USS Midway Museum, on San Diego Bay, is one of the world’s most popular and exciting naval ship museums. Dedicated to providing engaging and educational experiences, a visit to Midway not only lets guests enjoy more than 80 years of naval aviation history, but discover what it’s like to be a pilot.

Together, families can experience firsthand the legacy of this amazing aircraft carrier museum through Midway’s extensive collection of restored military aircraft. The museum’s flight simulators and virtual reality experience put visitors in the pilot seat. Guests will also be captivated by the ship’s award-winning audio tour and the world-famous Midway volunteers will bring the flight deck to life with gripping stories of launching and landing naval aircraft as well as tales of high-seas adventure.

The Battle of Midway Theater will transport guests back to 1942 through the eyes and voices of American heroes to relive how the Navy turned the tide to victory in the Pacific during World War II.

Kids can also earn their Junior Pilot Wings through fun onboard activities that will let them become naval aviators. Midway is a family-fun adventure!

The real world: it sure can be real interesting. Explore the natural history of southern California—from past to present—at the San Diego Natural History Museum (The Nat) in Balboa Park.

From dinosaurs and fossils to live animals and rare books, there’s something for everyone. Families will love the unique, interactive exhibitions that span four floors. A giant-screen theater offers daily showings of adventure and nature films, included with paid admission.

The Nat’s newest photography exhibition, California Blooming, focuses on how climate change is affecting wildflowers in our state. Living Lab, also recently opened, brings visitors face-to-face with live animals like lizards, geckos, frogs, beetles, snakes, and even a bee colony. The Backyard play space allows little learners (ages 0-5) to expand their horizons and learn and explore the natural world through play.

Can’t visit in person? The Nat hosts regular “live lessons” for kids via Zoom and has a Nature to You loan program that allows you to check out taxidermy specimens for your home or classroom. Learn more at sdnat.org.

Welcome to a very special model railroad museum located in Old Town—truly a hidden gem in San Diego. We recently adjusted our business model to provide a safe environment for our guests. We are now open for Private Experiences. You can reserve your private experience on our website, which will last 45 minutes for the whole group (maximum of 10 people). You will have the entire museum to yourself!

Each Experience will include a private tour guide who will explain the art of model railroading, the history of our 2,000 sq. ft. layout, and show you how the trains and features work. This is an engaging way to see the museum and a unique experience not to be missed—even if you have been to our museum before. The museum will be thoroughly cleaned before and after each group.
