Summer Science Clubs

The Fleet Science Center offers Science Clubs during summer break! Each session will be filled with new challenges and hands-on activities that can done using simple materials for students of all ages. Your kids will explore an array of fields including biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, physics, robotics and much more.

Topics:

  • May 8—Sunny Science: Renewable energy is the way of the future! Learn how sunshine can be used to make energy and delicious snacks.
  • June 12—Super Gross! Get ready for icky, sticky and just plain WEIRD science! Ever dissect owl barf or determine animal scat? Here’s your chance—it’s “snot” that bad.
  • July 10—Magic or Science? Use science to create potions and illusions like your favorite wizards from books and movies. You won’t believe your eyes!
  • August 14—Playground Engineering: Slide into adventure! Learn how engineering concepts are used when designing playgrounds.
