Jurassic World Gets a Prequel & the LEGO Treatment in New Trailer

Pint-sized paleontologists and LEGO-lovers rejoice! LEGO Jurassic World: Secret Exhibit will air on Nov. 29 and it’s animated plastic brick awesomeness at its best!

The recently released trailer for this two-part animated special shows a world that we all know and love—that is, Jurassic World. The story is set before the 2015 Jurassic World big budget blockbuster took place, following Simon Masrani’s idea for a new park attraction. And what could go wrong with that? Hmm.

The prequel finds Claire Dearing attempting to get the dinosaurs to the new exhibit by opening day. And of course, she has help from animal behaviorist Owen Grady. As expected, the animated special is less “roarrrrrr” scary monster dinosaurs and more laughable LEGO hijinks.

The Nov. 29 premiere of this super-special LEGO event will happen at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. If you (um, or your kiddo) misses the broadcast, don’t worry. You’ll still have plenty of opportunities to see this new LEGO adventure.

Catch LEGO Jurassic World: Secret Exhibit on the NBC app, NBC.com, Hulu and On Demand starting Nov. 30. Or, if your family is patient, the DVD version drops Jan. 15. 2019. While a month and a half may seem like a long time wait, the DVD also comes with exclusive bonus content.
