We thought last year was the year of the ice cream in Los Angeles, and nothing would ever top all the amazing new offerings available to Angeleno kids (and parents!). Well hold on to your waistbands, because if anything, this summer saw even MORE out of this world ice cream spots open up. From tacos to churros to cauliflower, discover the coolest new treats LA is scooping.

Cream

It seems that this is the summer of creative packaging for ice cream. Because while the regular scoops at Cream are plenty creamy and delicious, the draw is the ice cream taco. They also have ice cream sandwiches made with fresh baked cookies (that come in vegan and gluten free options) and there are soy ice creams, too, which comes in handy when on the lookout for allergen free unique treats.

We all scream for: For the kids, you have to get the red velvet taco. For parents looking for a less indulgent treat, the vegan tuxedo cookie with the soy mint chip ice cream makes an utterly decadent, yet slightly less heavy, sweet.
