Read on:Red Tricycle: Congratulations on being voted “Most Awesome” by your community! What do you think your customers value most about your business?Patricia Maertens: Our customers love the organic nature of Ladybug Music. Our environment is warm, comfortable and gives families time to come together, either in our classes or at home with our Ladybug Music CDs.Most importantly, adults love the music, which makes them want to participate with their kids. The children are so excited when their parents are silly and sing and dance along which them so they get into it even more and really begin to learn through play!RT: What inspired you to start your business?PM: I was exposed to great music at a young age and have had a huge love of music throughout my life (it’s what inspired me to become a musician!) I wanted to give that experience to other children and create a class with freedom for kids and parents to express themselves in their own individual way.RT: Any advice for new business owners just getting started?PM: Do something that you love, are passionate about, and will always find interesting on a daily basis. Create an intimate relationship with your customers – don’t lose touch with them. Listen and learn from your clients to meet their needs. RT: What is your proudest moment as a business owner?PM: I feel proudest when I get feedback from families about the special experiences they are having with their kids and our music – we are helping them share new experiences that are so joyful!RT: Is there a special offer you’d like to include for Red Tricycle readers?PM: I’d like to let Red Tricycle readers know that you can download three free Ladybug Music songs here: http://bit.ly/1kCPOXSIntrigued by Ladybug Music?
