7 LA Ways to Celebrate Winnie the Pooh (& Tigger, Too!)

Trending Now

January 18 is author A.A. Milne’s birthday and in honor of that, it’s been designated Winnie the Pooh Day. We put together this list of Pooh-inspired fun to help you celebrate the famous, honey-loving bear and all his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood, right here in Los Angeles.

The Bears and the Bees

“If Bears were Bees, they’d build their nests at the bottom of trees,” but unfortunately for Pooh, it still takes bees (and not bears) to make honey. Your own busy bee can learn all about how that sticky, sweet treat is made and taste a drop or two with a visit to ‪The Valley Hive. At this honey farm you can check out a glass-enclosed bee colony in action and shop for honey, along with dozens of other products made with honey. For a one-of-a-kind activity, kids 10 & up can join in the Beekeeping Experience and spend a day learning all about what a beekeeper does.
