Paulina Lopez-Velazquez & Bricia Lopez, Co-Hosts of Super Mamas Podcast & Restaurateurs of Guelaguetza

Sisters and mothers, Paulina Lopez-Velazquez and Bricia Lopez are nothing if not busy these days—hosting their uber popular podcast, Super Mamas, running their family’s James Beard Award-winning restaurant, Guelaguetza, and raising three young kiddos (aged 18-months to 5-years-old) between them. Ever since they were children themselves, this dynamic duo has worked in their family’s restaurant business serving up the city’s most to-die-for Oaxacan cuisine, and creating fab food products they sell online and through grocers. As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve created the Super Mamas podcast which has quickly become a relatable lifeline to countless Latina moms. During their weekly podcast, they discuss finding balance in a bicultural world and the challenges they face on a daily basis from language at home, mom guilt, outside judgment, parenting styles that go against everything they grew up seeing and traditions. Bricia says, “With Super Mamas, we create a space for new moms to come together and be inspired. The podcast has grown into a sisterhood that goes beyond the listener audience, we love connecting with our moms in person, hence our annual Super Mamas Social and our upcoming Vision Board Posada.”
