See Science in Action: A New Exhibit Opens at Kidspace

Trending Now

Tired of cleaning up the messes in your kitchen from vinegar and baking soda experiments gone wrong? Put away the homemade volcano–there’s another way to teach your kids about science. Pasadena’s Kidspace Children’s Museum has an exciting new exhibit sure to please and educate the entire family. The best part? No cleanup required!

Beat the summer heat and teach the little ones a thing or two about physics at the grand opening of Kidspace’s newest exhibit, the Robert & Mary Galvin Physics Forest, on July 12.

The Physics Forest offers 13 fun, hands-on activities created to educate and inspire kids to become tomorrow’s innovators. Simple games like tug-of-war become educational (learn about mechanical advantage while trying to beat the other players). Kiddos can make a mini roller coaster for a bowling ball to experiment with gravity, centripetal force and momentum. There’s even a bottle blaster, where they can launch a bottle 30 feet into the air using compressed air and water. You’ll love the environment too, a cool stylized forest with trees and winding paths. Make a day of it and explore the rest of the museum as well, including the Digging Deeper Gallery (learn all about dirt, bugs, and water) and the Outdoor Play area (ride tricycles or splash in the water features).

Hours: 10:30 am – 8:00 pm on July 12 only
Monday – Friday 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday – Sunday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Prices: $10 adults/children; free for infants under age 1
