With a slew of new family-friendly eateries opening up around the city, New York now offers more places than ever to grab a bite with the kids. From a Mexican restaurant in Queens that is quick to offer crayons and paper to a cozy cafe in Brooklyn that serves Nutella by the spoonful, here are some of the hottest newcomers to the New York restaurant scene that welcome young foodies. In the Meatpacking District: Sushi Dojo Express

If you’ve been wanting to eat at Chef David Bouhadana’s wildly popular Sushi Dojo in the East Village but haven’t been able to line up a sitter, you’re in luck. Bouhadana has just opened a to-go counter spinoff in Gansevoort Market. Grab a seat at the counter so your little sushi chef can watch the action. Or order your rolls to-go and sit in the food hall’s roomy skylit seating area. Can’t get the kiddo excited about raw fish and seaweed? There are tons of options right in the market, including a creperie and a greek yogurt bar.
