To Party in the Shop: ConstructionKids

Kids use sustainably harvested domestic softwoods, paint and other materials at ConstructionKids birthday parties to create a wide range of projects. Popular choices include the Minecraft party, at which kids make one of three characters (pig, creeper or Steve) and then customize it with a "skin." Younger partiers enjoy making animals (imagined or real) and the good old fashioned wood car is a favorite, too, with races happening when the project is complete. Parties are two hours long, for 12 guests, and you can hold them on site at ConstructionKids in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, or they'll come to you. (On site pricing starts at $500; off-site is $1,500 for 25 kids.)
