For a Custom Shirt & More: Hiho Batik

Tucked away behind the retail space of kids' boutique Hiho Batik is a brightly-lit studio where kids can custom design their own T-shirts and more with the textile technique using dye and wax. Artist instructors are on hand to help partiers with the projects, and kids can use a template from a design book or draw one freehand. T-shirt parties are $40 per person, but you can also make other projects using other materials such as dreamcatchers ($30 per person), masks ($25 per person) or a wizard hat and wand ($30 per person). Parties include supplies and two hours of studio time. (Note that T-shirts are ready about a week after the party and can be mailed out or picked up.) 184 Fifth Ave. Park Slope 718-622-4446 Online: hihobatik.com photo: via Hiho Batik Facebook pagefuck
