For a Crazy Clothesline and More: Sew What?

If you've got a fan of knitting, weaving or any other kind of textile art in your crew, you won't want to miss "Sew What?" at the Children's Museum of the Arts. The museum has assembled an impressive roster of artists working in the form, including Louise Bourgeois, Adrian Esparza, Eliza Kentridge, Larissa Mellor and many more. We're especially excited for the newly-commissioned installation by Jeila Gueramian, a piece using stitch work, crochet and various embellishments that will span the entire bridgespace of the museum. In the end, the bridge will become an interactive textile and light experience. Be sure not to miss the Marvelous Mini-Clothesline in the Pepperman Family Fine Arts Studio. This interactive exhibition will find visitors recreating their own clothes in miniature with fabric, paper and other materials, and then adding them to large-scale clothesline with tiny clothespins.
