Most of the indoor venues have closed up shop for the summer and now kid’s music is taking to the streets, to the roofs and, well, mostly to the grass. Get ready for a full lineup of kids concerts Monday through Friday – the weekday outdoor park seasons are revving up their engines for a summer of fun. Here’s the best of what’s on stage outside in the city this June. Bonus: three are free!

Lloyd Miller (of The Deedle Deedle Dees) History-Themed Sing-Along

When: Tuesday, June 4, 6:00 pm

Where: Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden, 421 East 61st Street

How Much: $15 Adults, $5 Kids (includes Museum Tour + Kid-Friendly Snacks & Beverage) / Members Free

Lloyd Miller has a passion for U.S. history and he positively adores his city. The dad and music teacher has spent the better part of the last 5 years enthusiastically combining those two loves as front man of Brooklyn's kindie troubadours The Deedle Deedle Dees. At this unique performance, families have the opportunity to experience his music in all its glory: at a historical sing-along concert taking place on the beautiful grounds of a museum that, like Mr. Miller, tells many curious stories about city life circa the early 19th century.

Which of these summer shows will you be attending?
