Coworking with childcare can be a key component to making it all work for freelancers/consultants/entrepreneurs who also happen to be parents. Two fresh spots — one, returning, but in a new location — and another, bringing coworking to an established neighborhood kidspace, are here to help! photo: CoHatchery CoHatchery Returns! Now in WilliamsburgPark Slope parents may be familiar with CoHatchery. The coworking spot, founded by Wendy Xiao and Susann Friedrich, held a summer session in Park Slope last year. This summer, it’s Williamsburg parents that win, with CoHatchery setting up shop in the bustling, increasingly family-packed neighborhood. In addition to childcare and a desk (the workspace is being built out as we speak) clients also get free wifi, printing capabilities, coffee and other workplace essentials.photo: CoHatcheryMore Than Just Free Play While there’s nothing wrong with your child just having supervised fun with toys and other kids while you finish that pressing work, CoHatchery raises the bar a bit higher. The coworking space has developed a Montessori-inspired curriculum in partnership with c’e Montessori, the school that will house the work and play operation for the summer. The program, designed by early-childhood experts on staff, is geared towards children six months to four years old. It offers Montessori-style mixed-age classrooms and smaller, age-based learning groups. The collection of multi-dimensional learning experiences covers areas ranging from language and literacy, math and reasoning, creative development, science, social and emotional development and beyond.photo: CoHatcheryThe DetailsCoHatchery Williamsburg will run from June to September 2017, with a morning session offered from 8 a.m. to noon, and an afternoon session taking place from 1 to 5 p.m.Parents can book one to five days a week, with rates beginning at $310 for one day and $1250 for five.
