She's now 13 and has since been joined by sisters Lila (7) and Sadie (5). Mother's Day at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden become a multi-generational family tradition, which my mother and father (who live in New Jersey) and my sister (who also lives in Brooklyn) often celebrate with us. Mother's Day is the peak time for so many different flowers at the garden from lilacs, tree peonies, and azaleas to magnolias, bluebells and tulips. It's a magical time at the Garden and they often offer musical performances and cool art shows on this special day. We usually end with a breather in the Cherry Esplanade then head to the Museum's Cafe for lunch. As we prepare to leave, my mother and I buy each other surprise gifts from the gift shop, usually herb plants or flowers to take home and plant in our own gardens. It's my favorite day of the year."fuck
