Here’s How to Get One from Krispy Kreme It may seem like the biggest Mother’s Day cliché (next to corner deli flowers) but we’ve yet to meet an NYC mom who would be bummed about being treated to brunch on May 14th. But, in a city that’s teeming with brunch spots, it may feel impossible to pick just the right one. Not to worry. We did the taste-testing for you and, behold, our list of more than a dozen places the mom in your life will absolutely love. Bonus: We’ve paired each with a nearby spa: The ultimate Mother’s Day double feature! For a Brunch Dad Will Love, Too: The Capital GrilleWe know this holiday has nothing to do with dad, but it can’t hurt to pick a spot that he will enjoy as well. With three locations in town, Capital Grille is one of those clubby favorites that does brunch very well. At the FiDi location, they’re serving a prix fixe, too, which makes it easy to navigate and budget for. For $49 per person (adults) and $15 per person (kids), you’ll enjoy a three-course meal featuring everything from lobster frittata to bone-in dry-aged New York strip with fried egg. The three-course meal includes a starter, entrée and dessert as well as juice, tea, coffee or soda. Reservations recommended for Mother’s Day brunch (served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and, whatever you do, save room for the homemade blueberry bread served with salted butter. Chill: Head over to tenoverten nail salon on Fulton Street for a Lux manicure ($40) which includes a 10-minute hot stone massage. (They do kids' nails as well, if you want to bring a companion.) 120 Broadway 212-374-1811 Online: thecapitalgrille.com photo: Capital Grille Where you be eating (and relaxing) this Mother’s Day?
