Two For Mum: Mother’s Day Brunch & Spa Combos

Read next

It may seem like the biggest Mother’s Day cliché (next to corner deli flowers) but we’ve yet to meet an NYC mom who would be bummed about being treated to brunch on May 14th. But, in a city that’s teeming with brunch spots, it may feel impossible to pick just the right one. Not to worry. We did the taste-testing for you and, behold, our list of more than a dozen places the mom in your life will absolutely love. Bonus: We’ve paired each with a nearby spa: The ultimate Mother’s Day double feature!

For a Fun (and Funky) Brunch: Harold’s Meat + Three

At Harold’s Meat + Three, you’ll get a hotel breakfast (the restaurant is tucked into the Arlo Hudson Square) with a touch of downtown cool. Moms will go bananas for the Market Bowl (quinoa, Japanese rice or spinach and three toppings—get the +three?), omelets, avocado toast or protein waffles (gluten-free). And then there’s the kids’ menu. We’ve never seen one that features a Babyccino (steamed milk and cinnamon), Little Mocha (steamed milk and cocoa) and Little Green Juice (kale, cucumber, melon and apple). The interior garden with its lush plantings makes the meal extra special. When brunch is done, consider settling in for a board game competition in the hotel lobby, which offers multiple stacks of old-fashioned board games and vinyl, should you want to spend Mother’s Day listening to some of your fave music old school.

Chill: Relax like a Roman at the Aire Ancient Baths with a soak followed by some pamoering. Book a Thermal Bath with Aromatherapy and 30 Minute massage for $145.
