The Ice Cream Carnival You Don’t Want to Miss

Ice cream pop-ups are definitely having their moment but the OddFellows Ice Cream Carnival in Nolita—located in a storefront adjacent to Chefs Club Counter—lives up to the hype. Read on to get the scoop!

Head to the OddFellows Ice Cream Carnival for the both food and fun. We’re talking about a space that plays homage to the great American carnival with décor that’ll make you feel like you’re at a county fair—visualize a red-and-white wall adorned with stuffed/movable monkeys, an empty gold frame in which you can post the perfect cone ‘pose,’ staffers dressed in signature white caps with red bowties and a photo booth to crowd into with your treats.

Speaking of, the $9 ice cream concoctions are not only clever, they’re incredibly delicious, too, and feature OddFellows homemade soft serve, that’s exclusively available here.

The cones are amped-up takes on carnival fare, including The Concession Stand, a caramel popcorn soft serve dotted with caramel and covered in chocolate bits and salted caramel popcorn.

The Pink Dip features raspberry sherbet soft serve dipped in pink chocolate and accessorized with freeze dried raspberry, gold dust and topped with Pop Rocks. And then there’s The Cotton Candy Creamsicle — vanilla and tangerine soft-serve with an orange cotton candy wraparound, that may become an all-time favorite.

No matter which combo your kids request, we promise they’re going to demand a repeat visit even if they just want a plain cone with rainbow sprinkles. (Those are available, too.)

Just hurry on in: the space (open from noon to 10 p.m., daily) will only be carnival-themed until Labor Day. After that, who knows!
