It’s Friday afternoon and you’ve run out of new ideas to keep the kiddos entertained. No worries, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a list of Friday goings on in greater Seattle, including storytimes, playtimes, museums and more. Read on.



Mockingbird Books: Storytime
11:00 am
Free event offered daily, except Sundays. Everyone welcome, but usual ages range from newborn-6 years old.

Santoro Books: Storytelling with Steph
11:00 – 11:45 am

Public Libraries
Greenwood: Toddler Storytime, 10:30-11:00 and Preschool Storytime, 11:15-11:45; Rainier Beach: Preschool Storytime, 10:30-11:00.

Bellevue: Polish Storytime, 4:00-4:30; Redmond: Baby Storytime, 11:00-11:30.

Bellevue Arts Museum: Free First Fridays
11:00 am – 8:00 pm

Imagine Children’s Museum: Free Friday Night Live
5:30 – 9:00 pm
The Museum has extended hours and free admission after 5:30 pm. Keep in Mind: Children 12 months and younger get in free every day.

Science and Nature


Woodland Park Zoo: Daily Programs
Creature Feature: 10:30 am
Shake Rattle and Roar: 11:30 am
Nature Exchange: 1:00 – 3:00 pm
All programs free with admission




Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center: Indoor Toddler Playspace
Monday: 10:15 am – 6:00 pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 4:45 – 8:30 pm
Friday: 1:15 – 8:30 pm
Saturday: 10:15 am – 4:00 pm

Birth & Beyond: Mommy Meet-Up
Mon, Wed, Fri: 3:00 – 5:00 pm
A free, informal social gathering for moms and free play for kids

Parent Resources


The Moon Paper Tent: Parent’s Night out
5:30 – 9:30 pm, Fourth Friday of the month.
Creative drama adventures, dress-up, crafts, and more! Registration required, $30/child. Please bring dinner and a water bottle.
