If the last time you partied like it was 1999 was New Year’s Eve…in 1999, then you’ll understand the woes of ringing in the new year with kids. You want to celebrate, but the idea of staying up till midnight with kids is as painful as it sounds. Luckily, PBS is here to help you say hello to 2018 and still get the kids tucked in before bedtime.
Cyberchase fans will be stoked to ring in 2018 with their favorite STEM-loving characters. The Emmy award-winning PBS series is in the midst of its 11th season and has a very special New Year’s Eve-themed episode premiering on December 29. All you have to do is set the DVR to record and you can plan your whole evening around the episode, “A Reboot Eve To Remember,” which is all about using wind power to raise the big ball at midnight on “Reboot Eve.”
You can plan your own “Reboot Eve” celebration by heading to the PBS Parents website and downloading the Cyberchase party kit. You’ll find DIY craft projects and coloring pages to help pass the time as you countdown to the main event. Watch the show, tuck in the kids and you’ll still have plenty of time to pass out on the couch before midnight.
