The Holiday Express

Enjoying the holiday season? Need some more festivities to bolster – or kick-start – your cheer? This weekend is chock-full of exciting events! If your little ones love trains, check out two holiday train options; one in Portland at Oaks Park Station and the other in north Clark County. Some holiday performances have recently hit the scene – the Latin American Posada Milagro celebration, The Nutcracker, as performed by Oregon Ballet Theatre, the Oregon Children’s Theatre’s improv troupe, and a puppet show by Penny’s Puppet Productions have come to town. Finally, be sure to keep an eye out for the Holiday Village in Nob Hill, a fused glass ornament class, and a Victorian country Christmas day at Philip Foster Farm.

Still have gifts to buy? Head to Raleigh Hills School on Saturday for the  Holly Raleigh Gift Market for items made by local artists; all proceeds go to the school’s art programs. Bundle up to experience a beautiful Portland tradition; the Christmas Ship Parade will set sail along the Columbia and Willamette rivers starting Thursday and ending December 21.
