Pete the Cat

Join the Oregon Children’s Theatre in this jazzy musical! It tells of the story of how Pete the Cat moves in with a new family and jazzes them up with his strumming. Little Jimmy gets the adventure of a lifetime when Pete whisks him away on a hilarious inspirational trip! For kids 4 and up.

Astoria, Parts 1 and 2

For the older set with a love of history (or a love of harrowing journeys over land and sea) , these two plays on Astoria’s past will fascinate and thrill. Better than any Deadliest Catch episode, the live play uses 16 actors to tell the tales of President Thomas Jefferson and millionaire John Jacobs Astor, bringing history up to modern times in a riveting way. Best for kids age 14 and up.

Disney Live! Mickey and Minnie’s Doorway to Magic

What is behind Mickey and Minnie’s door? Snow White, Tinker Bell, or Aladdin’s genie? This live performance retells stories using the magic of the stage–watch Cinderella transform from rags in mere seconds, join Andy and the Toy Story crew as they go on a mission with the army men, and watch Rapunzel and Flynn literally fly through the air amidst glowing lanterns. The ambitious show uses 25 characters and lots of action to dazzle and delight. Don’t miss it! Great for ages 3 and up.

Chiitra the Girl Prince

Infused with the magic of Indian dance, Chiitra the Girl Prince tells the story of a warrior princess who struggles to balance her duties and the call of true love. Packed with music, a wide range of dance styles, and epic martial arts sequences, this play is sure to delight! Great for ages 6 and up.

Oregon Trail

Join the Oregon Symphony Kids Series Concert for a tale of the Oregon Trail, via music. Combining symphony, a youth choir, and dance, this hour long event tells the exciting tales of the pioneer frontier and the covered wagons making their way along the trail to Oregon. Great for all ages!

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live: King for a Day!

Every toddler’s beloved PBS show comes to life for a day onstage at this magical event. Join Daniel Tiger and friends for a day of fun. Hop aboard the Trolley and head to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe to meet all of Daniel’s friends, sing new songs, help others, and be surprised. Great for preschoolers!

And in This Corner: Cassius Clay

Oregon’s Children Theater is back with a the origin story of one of the world’s greatest boxers and civil rights activists, Muhammed Ali. The story is set in segregated Louisville, Kentucky, where 12 year old Cassius Clay meets a police officer who teaches him to box.

Recommended for kids 8 and up, this play uses historically accurate language for its setting in 1960s segregated America. Check online at the Oregon Children’s Theater for more information.
