Rati Sahi, Chief Merchant at The RealReal

If there is such a thing as being an expert on shopping, that would be Rati. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of designers, can evaluate the worth of an item by sight, and she knows just what everyone wants to be wearing at any given moment. As the chief merchant at the luxury consignment site The RealReal (think Hermes, Celine, Proenza, and The Row up to 90% off retail), she oversees editorial and merchandising of every piece they sell on the site. Julie started with The RealReal founder and CEO Julie Wainwright 5 years ago at her kitchen table, and has watched the company grow exponentially in the TK years since.  Prior to that, she owned and ran Anica, a clothing boutique in San Francisco’s Russian Hill neighborhood. She lives in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco with her son Ruk is 4, daughter Diya is 3 and husband Kevin.

Proud Moment: "Personally, my proudest moment is seeing my son Ruk think about and be considerate of other people’s feelings."

Words of Wisdom: "There simply isn’t enough time to do everything as well as you’d like to. So, pick a few things that are most important to you and your family and do those the best you can."
