So, how is Prince George liking Year 1 (which is really his second year) at his school—and what’s he been up to? Prince George is taking ballet—and reportedly, he loves it! Here in the States, our kindergarten kids get gym class and recess. But at Prince George’s U.K. school, Thomas’s Battersea, the Year 1 curriculum includes 35 minutes of ballet once a week. Yep. Those lucky Brits get to participate in lessons that follow the Royal Academy of Dance’s Pre-Primary Dance syllabus, building physical skills, creativity, musicality and so much more. According to his dad, he’s loving it. At a recent event honoring Teen Heroes, Prince William said, “George is doing dancing as well, he loves it.” Of course, George’s ballet classes aren’t exactly the same as Junior’s street dancing. The Duke of Cambridge also noted, of his own dance prowess, “Break dancing literally where I break myself!” If George doesn’t get his dance skills from dad, where do they come from? According to Prince William, they come from his mom, the late Princess Diana. “My mother always used to dance, she loved dancing,” the Duke of Cambridge shared.
