Elita Wong, NP uses a holistic approach to mental health and creates a personalized plan of care. Her practice model combines psychotherapy and medication management to help patients achieve more joy and fulfillment in their lives.
She has worked with diverse populations in both community mental health clinics and the private practice setting. Her treatment modalities include a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychopharmacology to help patients achieve their goals. To integrate the latest research and technology, she also offers genetic testing to help select the most effective medications and design a more individualized plan. She works primarily with adult patients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, insomnia, stress management, and major life changes.
Elita completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and received her nursing training at New York University. Afterwards, she spent several years working as an inpatient nurse at Columbia University Medical Center in the pediatric, hematology, and oncology specialties, and has in addition cared for children with complex medical needs in their homes. She received her training in psychiatry from Hunter-Bellevue College in New York City and served as an adjunct clinical instructor at NYU.
