Juggling being a single mom and attending college isn’t easy, but one professor gets an A+ for making things just a little bit easier. When one mom couldn’t make it to class because she couldn’t find childcare, her professor’s response left her in tears.

Morgan King, a single mom attending the University of Tennessee, recently tweeted about her experience with her professor when she missed class. King wrote Sally Hunter, a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies, an email to explain that she was absent from class because she was unable to secure childcare for her infant daughter, Korbyn.

Hunter wrote back, “In the future, if you are having trouble finding someone to watch Korbyn, please feel free to just bring her with you to class. I would be absolutely delighted to hold her while I teach.” It’s easy to see why Hunter’s amazing response is winning the hearts of everyone who has seen King’s Twitter post.

The sweetness didn’t end there either. When King showed up a few minutes late for class the next day, Hunter was disappointed as she hoped King would have brought her baby along. That’s one supportive teacher.
