Come and admire Dolores Park Playground for its sweeping views of San Francisco, shady trees, and cool grass. Right on the border between Noe Valley and the Mission District, this playground is located in one of the sunniest parts of SF, at 18^th and Dolores Street. The park itself is a gathering place for live music, political rallies, soccer matches, and all kinds of events, but it’s the playground that pulls in moms and kids from all over the city. It’s a magnet for sun seekers and bathers alike, and is a true City landmark. The playground equipment is made of treated wood, and swings and sand complete this classic play area located at the south end of the park. The swings are the best option for the toddler set, but the big, toy boat is always a draw as well. Kids of all ages will also appreciate the ever-present ice cream vendors. Parking can be somewhat difficult, especially when events are being held in the park, but it’s well worth it to take in the vast, green rolling hills, and catch some rays when the rest of the city is shrouded in fog. The grassy levels make for a perfect place to enjoy some sammies and have a picnic, since the mellow mood and pleasant scenery are what really make this park worthy of a visit. There is no better place to take in your fellow San Franciscans enjoying the good life, whether they be kids playing on the jungle gym, tennis players duking it out on the courts, dogs playing fetch the frisbee, or just people napping or enjoying a good book.  Dolores Park is the perfect place to be on beautiful San Francisco day.
