Super Bowl 50 is almost here! You don’t have to head to Levi’s Stadium to get in on the football fun. As host to this year’s big game, the Bay Area has tons of Super Bowl 50 events planned for parents and kids alike. See footballs falling from a helicopter and experience interactive exhibits that let you score the winning touchdown.

Super Community Celebration, Santa Clara
Spend all day celebrating the big game at this festival for fans of all ages. Join in the pep rally, eat food from gourmet food trucks and watch local celebrities play flag football. Enjoy a free concert by Huey Lewis and the News and end the night with a fireworks display. Entrance to the event and concert are free, but all visitors must have a ticket which can be obtained online. Sat., Feb. 6. 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

“The Road to Super Bowl XIX: A Look at the Bay Area’s Most Unique Super Bowl,” Los Gatos
Through March 27 you can see this exhibit which is full of memorabilia, photos and even a championship ring from the historic 1985 Super Bowl hosted by Stanford. Admission is free for kids.

Wounded Warrior Amputees vs. NFL Alumni: A Game of Honor, San Mateo
This game is guaranteed to inspire you. Cheer for the Wounded Warriors, a team comprised of disabled amputee veterans, and former NFL star quarterback Roger Staubach as they take on the NFL Alumni team. You may even see Snoop Dogg on the sidelines cheering the players on. Kids are free, $10 for adults. Sat., Feb. 6. 12-3 p.m.
