While Seattle has its fair share of sunshine, it also has (more than) its fair share of what seems to be endless cloudy days. When it seems like the clouds and rain won’t ever go away or when the sunshine is so bright it leaves you longing for a tropical vacation, cozy up to one (or all) of these Hawaiian restaurants and let your mind and your taste buds relax in the comforts of island-inspired cuisine.

Cakes of Paradise Bakery

The Cakes of Paradise Bakery is conveniently located next door to Kauai Family Grill. After you enjoy breakfast, lunch and/or dinner at Kauai, simply walk through the dining room door to find yourself inside of Cakes of Paradise Bakery. Grab a slice of ready-made tropical flavored cakes such as guava, passion fruit or mango. These fluffy cakes are sweet, airy and are guaranteed to hit the spot. If cake isn’t your thing, try the pies! Snag a slice of the coconut cream or macadamia cream pie or try the pineapple upside down cake to satisfy your sweet tooth and to prolong the island flavor long after you leave. If you are looking for more than just a slice, orders can be placed online for an entire cake! Call or visit the online order page with 48 hours notice and the cake is yours. It’s up to you whether or not you want to share.

Good to Know: These cakes can also be found at their second location in Renton or at many of the Hawaiian restaurants around town. If you can’t get in to the bakery, find these delicious treats at Bobby’s Hawaiian Style Restaurant, Kona Kitchen and Saimin Says.
